Is this becuase HD riders are too embarrasesd to admit their bike has problems and becuase of all the class and rep that comes with HD's?

I'm selling my red 2009 Ninja 250R. It is totally stock, except for a progrip tank pad, and is up to date on all service. The bike has never been down, but there were some very small scuffs on the front of the left fairing near the turn signal (looks like the bike rubbed up against something, these were there before I got it and are hardly noticeable). I bought it as a first bike with 60 miles on the odometer at the end of July from Ft Myers Harley Davidson. I own this bike outright and have the title in hand.

This is a great little bike for commuting or for learning to ride on. It handles the few twisties we have down here amazingly, and it gets around 70mpg while doing it. The 250R is highly regarded as the best starter bike you can buy, because it is inexpensive, has a very forgiving powerband and very forgiving brakes. Basically you wont accidentally loop it or put yourself over the bars if you screw up, and if you do drop it it's cheap to repair.

I'm putting it up for sale to see if anyone out there wants a great learner bike, or a commuter, or a cheap bike to start doing some trackdays with. I am willing to trade my 250+cash for a CBR/GSXR/ZX6R/R6/etc, just show me what you have to offer.

let me mention i am a female who is begining and this will be my frist bike so is this a good deal? or should i get a new one?

also i wear glasses is it possible to ride my motorcycle with glasses on ?

2005 harley davidson softtail deluxe parked in a garage with it back fender 1 inch from back wall, and tire turned left. Someone hit it, bent the front and rear fender (drove rear fender into brick wall). Bike has been repaired by a harley dealer, bike rides fine tracks true and no vibration but hanndle bars and tree seems to be by eye slightly to the right. Any ideas??? Kevin G

Harley dealers can not order new one. Must be obsolete.Cant find anyone to repair old radio.

I'm single & have lived alone for 18 yrs. I'm unemployed & doing SOME housecleaning making VERY little money to get by. I have NO family to loan me money & NO assets to sell for cash & a '94 Civic that's NOW needing various repairs. Rents due & I DON'T have it & have NO place to go. I asked a girlfriend I've known for 30 yrs to move in & SPLIT the rent, etc., for a couple of months to avoid eviction. My girlfriend agreed since she too has money issues BUT, she HAS family whom have given her thousands, a 2004 PT Cruiser, 2005 fully loaded Ford Focus, a Harley Davidson, lots of nice jewelry, an earth contact home she's waiting to move into as soon as her ex-husband moves in 2 months, IRA's & retirement savings & a marine gentlemen whom she practically lives with PLUS she makes approx. $700 or more doing internet real estate AND she has a 17 yr son.
My girlfriend & I agreed ONLY she would move in while her son lives with a classmate until he graduates H.S. next May.
Without 1st discussing with me, she's moving her son in too BUT tells me she is paying $250 of the $500 rent & HASN'T found the time to arrange the cost of her paying half (1/2) of ALL the utilities PLUS cable/internet. ALL my furniture including my washer/dryer will be used EXCEPT for her son's bed.
I have MY ex boyfriends laptop & plan to sell his laptop to help pay a portion of my rent due. I have counted on selling it since I have NO other assets. etc., to get some cash I DESPERATELY need. My girlfriend WANTS the laptop for her son & says she will give me $75 BUT I can get $150. I've told her this, it pissed her off so she contacted MY ex boyfriend (BEHIND MY BACK), Now MY ex boyfriend says he'll just let her son "use" the laptop.
I'm EXTREMELY pissed since she has been FULLY aware of my plans to sell the laptop for DESPERATELY needed cash & unlike her, I DON'T have big assets NOR family NOR a marine boyfriend---I HAVE NOTHING.
*** I have the laptop in MY possession and MY ex boyfriend does NOT & has NOT cared I have his lap top. I've budgeted $150 & decided NOT to sell her the laptop since she wants to pay me ONLY $75 for it even BEFORE she went behind my back to MY ex boyfriend & I DON'T care if this pisses her off. Am I in the wrong? How would you feel?

Harley Davidson has ignored the younger riders for years by being too self confident, too stuck up and by not making a fast, sport handling bike.
That's why their sales are down and they are tittering on the edge of bankruptcy.
The older 50-60 year old men are getting too old to ride, or can't ride due to health reasons.
What can Harley Davidson do to repair their relationship to the newer, younger riders?

Jay P,, I live in the area where there's a Harley factory, (York, PA), you're looked down upon if you don't own and ride a HD around here!
And it pisses me off to no end when a HD Rider can't ride his bike, or he's afraid of it, like going 10mph around a tight curve, and he cuts me down just because i ride a Japanese Bike, and I know I can ride his HD better than he can!
I have superiour riding skills than the majority of HD Riders, plus I have better eyesight.
I should be respected for that
but I'm not!
I am judged as a poser just because I own Japanese Bikes!
Like a HD Owner will say "Its no big deal I can ride a wheelie on my FZ6 and if he could ride a wheelie on that bike too"
I say "OK fool, lets trade bikes, you ride my FZ6 and I ride your Harley and we will see who is the better rider"

Just bought a 1972 XLCH Harley Davidson Sportster. I do not have an owner's manual and the repair manual is not telling me the recommended spark plug gap. I am assuming about .40
Any better info would be appreciated.

What Keeps the bendix gear from staying edgaged when trying to start my bike. I pulled off the primary and watched it while i tried to start it. It will extend for a couple seconds and spin the fly wheel and then it just retracts.

We have a 1999 Heritage Softtail Classic which began to have starting problems. We pulled the starter, finished breaking it, had it repaired, put it back in, and now we have broken teeth on the clutch wheel. We need somebody to bench test the starter, fix what we broke on the clutch, and put it all back together. Anyone know any good and affordable private Harley repair people near Toledo, OH? The dealers are outrageous.

Also, is it WRONG for me to feel that the rent PLUS utilities/cable/internet should be SPLIT three ways since there will be three of us with her paying his 1/3 of the rent, etc.? Her son is 17 & has his own vehicle & a part time job. NOTE: My girlfriend & her son surf the internet heavily & I asked her to help pay 1/2 the bill two days ago since the internet/cable company turned off the services BUT she DIDN'T pay 1/2 to turn back on the services, ignoring my calls during that time. *The internet/cable company bills a month ahead of services.
